Coming soon: inauguration of the Courtyard Paris gare de Lyon hotel

Built in 1974, the Paris Lyon office tower, located on rue de Bercy, was rehabilitated into a four star hotel for AXA and its lessee the Marriott Group. Elithis and its teams assisted the owner for the environmental certification of the building (NF BT HQE level very good) and the realization of the energy studies.

The Courtyard Paris gare de Lyon hotel will open in October 2018. This 12,400 square meter establishment offers 249 rooms, some with a breathtaking view of the capital, as well as a bar, a restaurant, a fitness area, a conference center and a 76-space parking lot.

It combines modernity and history, and is part of the urban renewal of this district of the 12th arrondissement of Paris. The transformation, signed by Studios Architecture, gives it a new identity with clean lines and an original interior design. It will bring a “lifestyle twist” to the hotel brand, while tying the concept to the history of the neighborhood.

The rehabilitation of the Courtyard Hotel is one of a series of similar projects in the neighborhood, which had only office space.

Energy and environmental improvements :

Primary energy consumption reduced by 30% compared to the reference consumption.

Improving the quality of use by taking into account the comfort characteristics of room equipment (lighting, temperature control, etc.), access to natural light in the restaurant and dining hall, and bicycle parking for staff.

Creation of a landscaping project on the roof of the galette, taking into account the constraints of complementarity and toxicity of plant species to promote biodiversity.

Qualitative treatment of the facade with prefabricated panels that reduced the amount of waste and significantly improved views for local residents.

The project will be entered in the “Grand Prix du Simi 2018” competition in the “Renovated Building” category.
