Launching of the second edition of Well Building 2050
On May 18th, 2016, the Elithis Group launched Well Building 2050 – 2016 edition, the international design housing contest that aims at anticipating the future of the urban habitat. Registrations are now open on the event’s dedicated website until July 18th, 2016.
Open to students from all disciplines, Elithis dedicates the Well Building 2050 contest to dreamy, thoughtful and committed citizens who feel involved in current energy and environmental issues and want to contribute to the big challenges of our time by giving shape to an urban utopia that implements the three pillars of sustainable development with energy efficiency and quality of life for purposes. Composed of 5 to 10 members, teams must be built around the architecture, engireering and design professions and include varied fields of specialization, such as arts, health, economy, data sciences, sociology or philosophy for example. The more diverse and multidisciplinary team, the better.
This year, the contest adopts an approach of exploration and expression of our desires by giving its participants the freedom to put aside the Present to better construct the urban housing of Tomorrow – one that would embody their most intimate dreams. The winning team will be awarded a $20,000 grant, whereas the second and third place teams will each receive a $5,000 grant for free redistribution between members.
